Morbier cheese tart

  • 200g Morbier
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 eggs
  • 250ml pouring cream
  • 100ml whole milk
  • 2 slices of cured ham, 2-3 mm thickness

Step 1

Grease 4 small or 1 large tart case and add the puff pastry to cover the base and sides.
Beat the eggs in a bowl.
Add the pouring cream, milk, salt and pepper and mix.

Step 2

Cut the slices of ham into small cubes.
Spread the ham out over the pie bases.
Pour the egg mixture on top then add the Morbier, cut into pieces.

Step 3

Bake the pies for 20 to 25 minutes in a pre-heated oven, gas mark 6.

Step 4

Remove the pies from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving with a crispy salad and a few crudités.
